This serviced 1969 Seiko Lord Matic Ref. 5606-5000 represents late-1960s Japanese horology, showcasing Suwa Seikosha's bold geometric case architecture during the brand's golden era. It is powered by the distinguished 23-jewel Caliber 5606 automatic movement, featuring manual winding, hacking seconds, and quickset day-date functionality. Following a full mechanical overhaul and regulation, it operates with optimal amplitude, supreme precision, and flawless performance.
The hallmark of this timepiece is its factory-original vertically brushed slate-grey dial, capturing light with sharp precision across its subtle linear surface. The layout is appointed with rare applied polished Roman numerals at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock, faceted silver baton indices for the remaining hours, an applied silver SEIKO logo, the applied "LM" emblem, subtle Suwa factory markings, razor-sharp hands, and a framed bilingual day-date window at 3 o'clock.
The 32mm stainless steel rectangular tank case preserves its sharp factory geometry, brushed planar surfaces, and crisp polished side chamfers that sit comfortably and architecturally on the wrist. Maintaining its classic executive identity, it positions its winding crown neatly at 3 o'clock. The watch head remains 100% authentic and unaltered, retaining its original factory dial, hands, crystal, case, and crown. It comes paired with a premium textured black leather strap.
An exceptionally desirable 1969 Lord Matic reference combining reliable 56-series automatic engineering, an avant-garde modernist rectangular tank silhouette, rare factory Roman numeral typography, and untouched factory-original integrity.
