This serviced 1969 Seiko Lord Matic Ref. 5606-5000 represents late-1960s Japanese horology, embodying the geometric design elegance and mechanical sophistication of Seiko's premier executive dress line. It is driven by the respected 23-jewel Caliber 5606 automatic movement from Suwa Seikosha, featuring manual winding, hacking seconds, and quickset day-date functionality. Following a full mechanical service, it operates with supreme precision, optimal efficiency, and flawless performance.
The hallmark of this timepiece is its factory-original charcoal-grey brushed dial, capturing light with sharp precision across its subtle linear surface. The layout is appointed with distinctive applied polished Roman numerals at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, faceted baton indices for the remaining hours, an applied silver SEIKO logo, the applied "LM" emblem, crisp printed "Lord Matic" and "23 JEWELS" typography accompanied by the Suwa factory insignia, razor-sharp hands, and a framed day-date window at 3 o'clock.
The 32mm stainless steel rectangular tank case preserves its sharp factory geometry, brushed upper planar surfaces, and polished bevels that sit comfortably and architecturally on the wrist. Maintaining its classic executive identity, it positions its original winding crown neatly at 3 o'clock. The watch head remains 100% authentic and unaltered, retaining its original factory dial, hands, crystal, case, crown, and 23-jewel movement. It comes paired with a premium textured black leather strap.
An exceptionally rare 1969 Lord Matic reference combining reliable 56-series automatic engineering, an avant-garde rectangular tank silhouette, distinctive factory Roman numeral indices, and untouched factory-original integrity.
