This serviced January 1970 Seiko Bell-Matic Ref. 4006-6010 is a prime example of Seiko's internal mechanical ingenuity, combining a self-winding timekeeping movement with a fully integrated mechanical alarm. Driven by the 17-jewel Caliber 4006A automatic movement, it belongs to the desirable early "Waterproof" production era just prior to Seiko's global transition to "Water Resistant" badging. Freshly serviced, the movement operates with high accuracy and the mechanical alarm rings with a clear, resonant chime.
The standout feature is its 100% original silver sunburst dial (Ref. 7010T AD), showcasing sharp applied hour indices, a framed day-date calendar window, and an intact inner rotating alarm ring. The original crown and top pusher function smoothly, ensuring seamless operation for setting time, quicksetting date, and setting the alarm indicator.
The 39mm stainless steel case retains its bold original geometry, prominent cushion-like profile, and sharp lug lines. Stamped correctly with its reference numbers and serial date code, the watch head maintains its original casing and signed crown architecture. Paired with a premium replacement leather strap, it complements the bright silver tones of the dial and case.
A clean, fully functional, and serviced early 1970 JDM mechanical alarm piece that brings both historical appeal and daily wearability to any vintage Seiko lineup.
